With a market cap of $59.3 billion, Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (HLT) is a hospitality company that engages in managing, franchising, owning, and leasing hotels and resorts. Founded in 1919, the McLean, Virginia-based company operates in two segments, Management and Franchise, and Ownership.
Companies worth $10 billion or more are generally described as "large-cap stocks." HLT fits right into that category, with its market cap exceeding this threshold, reflecting its substantial size and influence in the lodging industry. Hilton boasts a comprehensive range of 24 distinct brands, encompassing luxury, lifestyle, full-service, and budget segments.
Nevertheless, the lodging giant's stock dropped nearly 9.7% from its 52-week high of $275.22 achieved on Feb. 13. HLT’s stock has declined 4.3% in the past three months, compared to the AdvisorShares Hotel ETF’s (BEDZ) 3.3% fall over the same time frame.

Moreover, in the longer term, HLT has grown marginally on a YTD basis, whereas BEDZ declined by 8.2%. Furthermore, shares of HLT surged 22.7% over the past 52 weeks, outperforming BEDZ's 9.1% rise over the same time frame.
HLT has been trading above its 200-day and 50-day moving averages since early May, indicating an uptrend.

On Apr. 29, HLT shares closed up more than 2% following the release of its Q1 results. Its revenue grew 4.7% year-over-year to $2.70 billion, missing the Street’s estimates. Moreover, its operating margin came in at 19.9%, in line with the same quarter last year. Furthermore, HLT’s adjusted EPS amounted to $1.72 and surpassed the consensus estimates by 6.8%.
In the dynamic hotel sector, its rival, Marriott International, Inc. (MAR), has lagged behind the stock over the past year, with its shares declining 6.9% in 2025 and surging 11.6% in the past 52 weeks.
Among the 22 analysts covering the HLT stock, the consensus rating is a “Moderate Buy.” Its mean price target of $254.74 suggests a 2.5% upside potential from current price levels.
